myth freezes - mysqld.log ERROR - Table './mythconverg/recordedseek' is marked as crashed

I installed mythdora 4.0 then did the yum update \*myth\* to update all myth packages to get the schedules direct to work.

That is all that is different.

mysqlcheck -r mythconverg did not work but...

I still had errors in my log after a clean reboot.

So, here is what I did:
stopped mythbackend
stopped mysqld

[root@frisco mythconverg]# myisamchk *.MYI
myisamchk: warning: Table is marked as crashed
myisamchk: warning: 7 clients are using or haven't closed the table properly
myisamchk: error: Key in wrong position at page 4923392
myisamchk: error: Keypointers and record positions doesn't match
MyISAM-table 'recordedseek.MYI' is corrupted
Fix it using switch "-r" or "-o"

[root@frisco mythconverg]# myisamchk -r recordedseek.MYI
- recovering (with sort) MyISAM-table 'recordedseek.MYI'
Data records: 172506
- Fixing index 1
[root@frisco mythconverg]# myisamchk *.MYI
NO ERRORS!

Did a reboot, and still no errors, also no errors in dmesg

I will see what happens when it tries to record again.

Have you ran the optimize_mythdb.pl script? It's located in /usr/share/doc/mythtv-docs-0.20.2/contrib/optimize_mythdb.pl

Not that you need this as there is already a cron job being run in 4.0 that cleans the DB.
