NVIDIA GeForce 6200 - PC freezes randomly

So, I was having issues with my ATI Radeon card, so reading and posting posts says, GO WITH NVIDIA.
So I bought a GeForce 6200.

Install went lickity, and started using mythdora.

Now, my box freezes randomly. Completely, can not do anything but hard boot.
There is nothing in the Xorg log.

I am just using the VGA output to a CTR right now.

I complained previously, blaming it on either, mysql or other things but have now narrowed it down to the card. ( from reading other posts...)
Sorry for all the posts... :)

Note:
I chose the legacy nvidia drivers during install. Because of other posts stating it works better with the card.
I have also tried the newer drivers but X failed to load.

Is your video card sharing

Is your video card sharing an IRQ with another device? If so swap slots if possible even if it's not the video card itself. Have you disabled any onboard video?

Good thought!

Hangs by themselves often point to a driver problem, but the inability to start X with a newer driver suggests something deeper may be going on, like an IRQ conflict.

I had a similar problem. I

I had a similar problem. I read in a post somewhere to try disabling "realtime priority threads for playback" or something very similar. My problem went away and never occurred again.
Hope this helps

If the freezing behavior

If the freezing behavior never occurred before the 6200 was installed, only after, there is also the possibility that that particular card is defective and should be replaced. Is there any possibility of trying that 6200 in a different pc?
