Using Mythdora as a network bridge
Submitted by sirtuxalot on January 13, 2008 - 11:17pm
Has anyone tried or had success with using Mythdora as a network bridge? I found this site with is should be compatible with redhat/fedora based systems. My goal is to have my Myth box connect to my home network through ath0 and eth0 will host a small network behind it with an XBox and PS2 connected through a hub or switch.
Thanks for any advice you may have.

Correction...
...what I am looking for is internet sharing situation, not bridging. Bridging would totally make Mythdora pointless.

If you are wanting to use your mythdora box as a gateway you will want to use Iptables and two ethernet devices. A handy little tool to help you accomlish this is Jays firewall tool.

I don't think he is making any further releases of it but it does come in RPM form so installation is easy and it will allow you to do almost anything you would like to do.
