I managed to fix it with one additional option line (lost the link!). </p>\n<p>But: I do not want to deal with 2 seconds of switching time inbetween dvb-channels and approximately 20 of switching time between the pvr and the dvb device, so I changed back to kanotix (which has a functional VDR inplemented). If someone has a question regarding the german article: Just write me...maybe we can put together some kind of howto for this board...should not be too much work, since there is already this kanotix one!</p>\n<p>PS: nvram-wakeup is working - even with the newest bios! After having problems sourcing this board in the UK I bit the bullet and purchased an Abit IL-90MV :

The reason your getting lockups and the "Saving mixer settings" problem is because your using a cx88 based capture card. Install without the card installed and it should work. There are posts on what you need to do to get things working for your card. It has to do with removing alsa rpm's ;-). Also DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT use the package updater or do a yum upgrade. You may have a hard time finding anyone with direct experience with MythDora and this hardware however, I can say The NVIDIA chipset is a good choice. Their Linux drivers are second to none.

MythDora 3.2 uses the latest Linux kernel and extensions, so I can tell you if MythDora does not support all of your hardware neither will anyone else.

I just put a machine together this past weekend and would have loved to have hardware like this.

I would say go for it!

I run a system with a M2NPV-VM motherboard using MythDora 2.32. Everything works fine, except the BIOS ACPI tables still seem to be broken with the newest bios revision from ASUS, meaning things like ACPI wakeup are out of the question for now. Also, upgrading to the newest version of ALSA fixed all my sound problems up. Apart from the issues listed above I haven't had any other issues with the board and MythDora.
