I was dinking around with some settings, none that should have had this effect, but now when X starts it halts the system.
I can boot into single user mode and then init 2 and init 3. But when I startx the system halts.
Any suggestions on what log file to look in to find the cause of the halt? I looked in /var/log/messages and didn't see anything obvious. I also looked at /var/log/Xorg.0.log and nothing there.
Any suggestions?

Re-install
Since MythDora is so easy to install, I just backed up then mythdata and re-installed.
But the odd thing now is my modeline in xorg.conf doesn't work anymore. My TV now says "Unsupported mode" which it didn't before.
ModeLine "ATSC-720-60p" 74.2 1280 1320 1376 1648 720 722 728 750
The main thing I was doing
The main thing I was doing was disabling un-necessary services like postfix etc. I wonder if I wasn't paying attention and disabled a service need for X, but I can think of any other the xfs ( X font server ) which is running.
