DVD Rip Taking Forever

I am trying to rip a DVD to my hard drive right now and it will take forever, literally. When I try to select the main movie to Perfect the time it takes to do it just increases, it starts at 9 hours and if I leave it going it will go up to 10,000 hours. This only happens on a select few DVD's such as Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Mans Chest and also The Guardian. If you rip other parts such as the extras or something like that, it works fine, this only happens on the regular movie.

Also one last question about burning. If I want to burn a DVD Movie, how would I go about getting the .ifo files. I have a movie I want to burn in the .vob format and when I put the entire file in the VIDEO_TS folder on k3b it won't play in a dvd player.

Thanks,
Adam

The DVD ripper doesn't seem

The DVD ripper doesn't seem to work with all disks. That has happened to me before. It must be a copy protection thing. Also, perfect should be the fastest to rip, because no encoding is being done.

Also, when you say "burn" a DVD movie, do you want a make to DVD from files on your HDD, or copy a DVD? If you want to copy a DVD, use dvd shrink, or whatever it has been replaced with in v3.0

I have made successful rips

I have made successful rips before and those are what I want to burn. All I have is one .vob file for each movie on my hard drive. I don't have any of the .ifo or the .bup files.

Have you tried mytharchive?
