Recording with DirecTV - channel switches when recording

Another nice feature: If I switch channels, the channel on my recording also switches. I have the receiver hooked up to my computer through s-video out and the audio-out options on the back of the receiver. The receiver is hooked up to my TV through coax cable.</p>\n<p>Am I missing something obvious that I need to be doing in order to record the channels that I want to? It seems pretty dumb that I would have to have the receiver set to the specific channel that I want to record. I only have one STB right now. Here is the scenario to consider:

No. You could manually
No. You could manually change the channel on the STB to what you wanted and then change the channel on your Myth system to match. This will allow you to record something if you needed to. The IR Blaster is only a convenience.

2)Select channel from program guide that I want to record.
