ATI has a new linux driver out. On there FAQ it says:
Q1: What features are provided by the ATI Proprietary Linux Driver?
A1: The ATI Proprietary Linux driver currently provides hardware acceleration for 3D graphics and video playback. It also includes support for dual displays and TV Output.
Does that mean the driver finally supports XVMC / MPEG-2 hardware acceleration?
Has anyone tried?
I did a bit of goggle searching and there is nothing new out their about their drive and mpeg hardware support. I figured there would be something somewhere if mpeg acceleration was supported/working.

I think all that means is that it supports openGl. I'm 99% sure that xvmc isn't supported for ATI Cards yet, but I may be wrong.

I'd like to test. I am gonna load the latest driver. How option would you suggest enabling to test?
