I have lm_sensors working properly on my box. Is it possible to display this output in the System Status>Machine Status window?

Not unless you know C++ and want to rewrite the main Myth module ;-) What you could do is look into the script I have created for system info located in /var/www/cgi-bin. Open a browser and enter your hostname or ip address pointing to /cgi-bin/sysinfo.cgi like this.
http://ipaddress-or-hostname/cgi-bin/sysinfo.cgi. This will give you some important system info. You could place the lm-sensors command in here and even check the status of your box remotely if you wanted.
