DVD Import Question
Submitted by jhouse on July 10, 2007 - 5:31pm
I imported a DVD the other day, and noticed that it's one big vob file. I have other DVD's imported on my Fedora 7 workstation (accessible to mythtv via NFS). Those othere DVD's are multiple vob files. When I browse my videos in mythdora, i can see the files - haven't tried to play them yet - but when I try to assign the IMDB stuff, director, play length, year, poster... it doesn't save it. Anyone know what's going on?

cat VTS_0_1.vob > movie-name.vob
cat VTS_0_2.vob >> movie-name.vob
and so on...
This will get the movie into a single vob file, but as far as the IMDB stuff... could that have anything to do with the file living on an NFS share?

Thanks
That's great info, but I have one more question.
When opening MythVideo, if there are new movies, it imports them and if there are entries for movies which no longer exist, it asks what you want to do. Is there a way I can cause this reload to happen from the command line?
Nope I'm afraid not.
