Can MythDora do what I want it to do?

I\'ve been using OS X hacked onto an x86 box as my media center machine but I\'m hoping that MythTV/MythDora might do more for me.</p>\n<p>I\'m not looking to record any TV off of cable/antenna/satellite. As I\'m outside the US and UK and I watch only US/UK shows I\'m looking to download my favorite shows when they become available and have them automatically queued into a Windows MCE-like interface (OS X\'s Front Row would be better but I\'ll take what I can get!). A newsgroup downloading app would be cool too.</p>\n<p>Can MythDora do this? It seems that most people are just using it as a TiVo-like DVR device.</p>\n<p>Finally, I\'d love to be able to connect my OS X machines to it so that I could stream downloaded shows to them. Hey all. Mac OS X user, Linux/BSD dabbler here. I've been using OS X hacked onto an x86 box as my media center machine but I'm hoping that MythTV/MythDora might do more for me.

I'm not looking to record any TV off of cable/antenna/satellite. re TV-out. you can get a VGA-whatever converter for your TV, should work fine. some of them are expensive though.
