Compact Flash Install
I just got one of these compact flash to IDE adapters (cost about $10). You can use it to install your OS on a compact flash card, the OS will boot up and response much faster then a regular hard drive. I have tested it with windows and other distros of Linux and it works great....only thing is you have to turn off file paging in windows, and in Linux you have to put the swap file drive on a regular hard drive. But in mythdora when ever I try to change the swap location it never installs correctly? I think this would be great for mythdora so you can have a regular hard drive for video storage and the compact flash for the OS, if you need to update you can try installing on another compact flash card. Will there be a way in future mythdora releases where you can select install to compact flash or usb drive?
