Are VIA C3 CPUs supported in Mythdora 5?

I have two motherboards with VIA CLE-266 chipset. One has a 800MHz Samuel 2 CPU and the other a 1GHz Nehemiah CPU. I was running Mythbuntu 7.10 on the 1GHz system. Mythbuntu 8.10 (recently released, includes MythTV 0.21) can be badgered into installing but hangs on startup on the 1GHz system. Mythbuntu 8.04 was compiled for CPUs with CMOV instruction which is not present on the 800Mhz system, consequently crucial applications die with the kernel reporting "Illegal instruction". So the current Mythbuntu doesn't work on either of these systems.

I'm exploring my options: will Mythdora 5 work on either of these systems?

Alternatively, for what target CPU was Mythdora 5 compiled?

MythDora uses i686 and will

MythDora uses i686 and will not work on CPU's needing i586.
