recorder offline

I searched for my topic and could not find anything.
After setting up MD5, I was able to schedule recordings (via MythWeb and the Master Fronend) and watch recorded shows using my Media MVP, but not on my MythTv Master Backend/Frontend box (localhost.localdomain). I now have the hostname setup correctly (thanks to a previous post) and can now watch previously recorded shows and stored MPEG video on my main MythTv box, but now my recorders are offline and I can't see my previous recordings on my Media MVP (it says that it lost its connection even after a power reset.
Fixing one thing and breaking something that was working is frustrating, any ideas?
Paul

You didn't give your main
You didn't give your main myth box the same name as your frontend did you? You need to give all frontends a unique identifier. See here.

This turned out to be a setup problem. When changing the MBE from localhost.localdomain I lost my capture card setup information and did not realize it. Once I reconfigured the Capture cards & their data sources the recorders came back online and recording started working again.
