Database Schema 1180 1214

I've installed MythDora 5.0 on a separate machine to be used as just a Frontend. I want to connect to the Master Frontend/Backend machine which is on a different machine running MythDora 4.0.

For some reason this does not seem possible as when I try running MythTV I get the following error:

MD5 jumpy

MD4 seems to have been much better.

MD5 will not talk to MD4 as the MythTV protocal is different. You will need to run MD4 for the frontend or change the MD4 backend to MD5.

MD5 BAD BAD Experience

Okay...so I decided to upgrade MD4 to MD5 and I did an upgrade, not new install.
1st problem....video issue, fixed it.
2nd problem....same damn crap...database schema error and it wouldn't convert.

after hours of messing around, i'm left dead in the water.
