I have 2 machines. A master and a slave. Both of these machines have tuners in them. Does anyone know if one machine runs out of hard drive space will myth automatically use the other machines hard drive? If this is not the case is it fairly easy to add another hard drive down the road?

Myth will not

Myth will not *automatically* do this. However, you do have the ability to export both /storage partitions via NFS to one another. Then you must have the mounts setup respectively on each host so each one can the other's partition. Then just modify the storage pools in mythtvsetup accordingly.

Sounds good. If there are

Sounds good. If there are two default storage groups setup in the mythtvsetup, will it then automatically switch to the second storage group when one is full?

It shares usage based on a

It shares usage based on a couple of factors. I think it'll first use the local drive, but in the event it's busier or full it'll use the NFS partition. I have 3 storage groups over 3 machines in my setup and the purely NFS one has about 30G on it, so it does get pulled in from time to time. however, the locals are not full.
