Any pointers to MTD information?

I'm having problem with Myth Transcode Daemon (MTD). Can anyone point me towards any documentation or FAQs related to MTD? I can't seem to find anything.

A very simple fix would be to do this as root:

# echo "/usr/bin/mtd --daemon" >> /etc/rc.d/rc.local
