ATI Radeon 7500 and MD 10.21

Have just completed a fresh installof 10.21 after running 3.21 for some years.

Dell GX260
ATI Radeon 7500 (AGP)

The issue is this, when I want to watch live TV the screen is blank - nothing. If I try to watch a video file with xine of VLC included in FD10.21 the application shuts down.
