I'm about to rebuild my master backend on F12. Anyone tried NFSv4? Any upsides?
Any downsides of using mount --bind on the /storage/ directories?
I'm not sure if I should even screw w/ this, but I will need it w/ the new mythvideo.
Thanks,

I serve /storage over NFSv4 on MD10.22 to frontends; I've been doing so since MD5. The only problem I've had is that the default UID went from 1000 to 500 (or something like that) among the MythDora releases, so the "mythtv" uid on /storage is 1000 but the default mythtv user is different and that requires working around some things.
For a new install I'm not aware of any reason not to export /storage over NFS.
Thanks liels. I'm using
Thanks liels.
I'm using NFSv3 right now; I guess I was asking if there are any advantages to v4 over v3. Should I switch?
