Good 12.23 install, but a few things are left - no ISO playback, no TV

So far, this install of 12.23 has gone much more smoothly than the MD4 install I did several years ago. Kudos to the MD team for that.

I have onetwo major issues left.

1) VDPAU isn't working or something and so when I seek, playback crashes for both LIVE TV and VIDEO playback. Haven't recorded on the new system yet, so don't know about RECORDED TV.

1) ISOs in my videos folder don't seem to play. Most of the time, I get a "Please wait..." message which never goes away. Once I got an error message of "Video buffering failed too many times" or something like that. I will check the Myth logs, but if anyone has seen this, let me know how to solve this.

2) Live TV isn't playing, so I haven't even tried to record yet. This hangs with the "Please wait..." message, but usually drops back to the menu. I don't think I have had to ctrl-alt-backspace for this.

Per my post here: http://www.mythdora.com/?q=node/5411 I will try updating everything myth-related when I get that yum repo info. Maybe that will do the trick?

I have two minor issues left as well.

1) IMON PAD Remote was selected during install but it doesn't seem to work. I'll dig into the LIRC settings there. I think I remember how to do that.

2) It seems I should be able to finally use the IMON LCD, so I'll poke around to get that working.

I'm fairly confident I can take care of these minor issues on my own. In any case, should anyone have suggestions for any of these four issues, I'd appreciate your feedback.

Thanks.

Oh well. I give up on the iMon LCD and so I have gone ahead and disconnected it as well as the remote, which I replaced with an MCE remote. Works right out of the box. I wonder if there is likewise an LCD that works out of the box.
