Been searching for days, can't seem to find anything that leads to much but dead ends.
Have posted in the mythtv list and was told to post here.

Have installed mythdora from latest live cd, everything working fine using ATSC for testing for example. What isn't working is UPnP. I don't see port 5000 running, don't see any services which have UPnP that would be started so am thinking this must be an addon after default install.

Can anyone help me out here and give me some leads.

Mike

Upnp runs automatically as

Upnp runs automatically as long as you're running mythbackend. Its built into the backend service. It only does not run if you specify --no-upnp to the backend. Check /var/log/mythtv/mythbackend.log for errors if its not working.

Sure enough, it just took

Sure enough, it just took your input to realize I should look at the right log. I had forgotten to enter the routable IP in the backend indeed.

All good now. Thanks very much.
