I have had an issue on both Mythdora 10.21 and 12.23

I have onboard sound card that supports SPDIF. My video card is an NVIDIA 9500GT with HDMI output. I have connected to the SPDIF jumper on the motherboard to the one on the video card, so that I get the sound on the HDMI cable.

Most of the time it works great. However, every now and then ( maybe two or three times during the course of a movie ) the sound cuts out for about 2 or 3 seconds .... its not a major issue, but enough to be annoying !

I have tried looking in the log files for any entries at the time the sound cut out, but cant find anything. I have looked in /var/log/messages, /var/log/mythtv/mythbackend.log and mythfrontend.log

I dont think its specifically mythtv related, as it also happens when watching a movie in xine ....

Does anyone have any suggestions ??

Thanks
John
