To All:
I thought I was saving my computer some work by disabling the Commercial Flagging from running. I soon started having problems with my recordings not being able to fast forward/rewind very well or not at all.

I manually ran mythcommflag --rebuild --allstart today's date and it found the recordings of today and all was good. So I turned commercial flagging back on.

Anyway, this post is a two fold:
1. Is mythcommflag is doing more than just flagging commercials?
2. for anyone who disables commercial flagging may experience this problem
