apache logs?

Have you checked in the apache logs, specifically /var/log/httpd/error_log? I actually have never used the web remote function until now and I see the same behavior. Sometimes it takes 13-15 seconds, sometimes a bit longer.

This is the error that occurs when the key is finally passed to the system.. maybe your issue is the same?

PHP Fatal error: Cannot access private property MythFrontend::$connected in /usr/share/mythweb/modules/remote/handler.php on line 89, referer: http:///mythweb/remote/keys

I remarked the line, no error and no change in behavior, so it seems that it's benign.

I'll do some more digging, I don't know if this is even applicable..

I assume you did trivial

I assume you did trivial things like restarting apache, etc?

The remote from the web side should function identically to the phone based remote by way of sending telnet control commands to the frontend. Is the frontend & backend/web instance on the same machine? or are you running mythweb from a backend and accessing a remote frontend?

Pisani

Yeah this a combind FE/BE,

Yeah this a combind FE/BE, have tried restarting apache aswell as the system.

Nothing in the httpd error logs or the php error logs
