30 second delay from mythweb Remote

I actually have never used the web remote function until now and I see the same behavior. Have you checked in the apache logs, specifically /var/log/httpd/error_log? I actually have never used the web remote function until now and I see the same behavior. Sometimes it takes 13-15 seconds, sometimes a bit longer.

I assume you did trivial things like restarting apache, etc?

The remote from the web side should function identically to the phone based remote by way of sending telnet control commands to the frontend. Is the frontend & backend/web instance on the same machine? or are you running mythweb from a backend and accessing a remote frontend?
