MythDora freezes after loading

Hey guys, here's my specs:

Intel Celeron 1.1
384Mb Ram
ATI TV-Wonder VE
NVidia G3 Ti200

The setup went well, as far as I could tell. I got to the intial setups and, after I selected "No Remote" in the remote control section, I pressed enter and it seemed to freeze. I rebooted the PC and now it will load all of the daemons, services, etc and it will go to a black screen and stop responding. I know it freezes up because the NumLock and Caps key will stop lighting up the keyboard after 15 seconds or so.

I chose BTTV for my capture device, if that's important.

I'm not a Linux expert, so I'm not sure where to go from here. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Dave

Have you reinstalled to see

Have you reinstalled to see that may help? How long did you give it before you decided it froze? You chose number 16 for None of the above right?

I haven't re-installed yet.

I haven't re-installed yet. I waited a minute or so before I rebooted it initially. I wanted to see if there was something I could do to start off with before starting over. I'm gone for the evening. I'll re-install before I go and see if it happens again. Thanks!

Could be BTTV

I just sucessfully finished a MythDora installation, though I needed 2 tries to get it to work.

The first try it got all the way through the installation and in the white setup menu, I told it to use my PVR-350 AND a BTTV card (I have 2). That didn't work so well -- it froze up right after that. Sounds very similar to what you described.

I'd installed MythTV before and had found that the BTTV drivers are a PITB to work with. So I decided to re-install and only selected the PVR-350 card and didn't set up the BTTV card. Works great.

Just thought I'd throw in my $0.02. HTH :)
