Please help me somebody.
Ok i've finally decided to make the switch to mythtv. I've been running MCE05 since xmas05 and I'm sick of it. If interested in my MCE experience let me know and I'll post it later.
Ok i've got a Duron 900mhz machine with 350meg of ram. I've been able to succefully install mythdora and get everything working. except tvout and set top box control. I'm not worried about the set top box I think I'll be able to get it under control. (I have Dish and my receiver is a 322)
My issue is I have an ATI rage pro 128 AIW. When I try to use the tvout it does not work. I checked the display settings in the ATI control panel and ATI is turned on using NTSC. I've tried every cabling option possible (starting from bootup, moving over while running, using both s-video and composite, etc...) I'm not trying to use this card for capturing because I have a hauppauge 150 (which is working perfectly on the monitor). Am I missing something regarding getting the tvout to work? I'm sure both the s-video and composite ports work because during boot I see everything fine. Once X starts thats the last of my picture. This is my make or break issue. Obviously I could probably buy a new card however why buy new when you have something that should work.
Thanks for your help!

Sounds like you might have a
Sounds like you might have a problem with your xorg.conf file. Under:
Section "Device"
I added the line
Option "TVOutput" "S-Video"
That forced the video card to use s-video. You might also check under that same section to see which driver is being used. I'm not sure if that card should say "ati" or "radeon", i use an nVIDIA card.
I was going to say that
I was going to say that there is also a xorg.conf.ATI file in /misc/extras that "may" work. You will have to change the driver from "fglrx" to whatever your using now. It maybe "r128". Don't forget to make a backup of your current xorg.conf file is you plan on moving it over.
