I have not been able to solve my issue regarding gettng the tuner (PVR-250) to channel 73. I posted this same issue several months ago and did not get any resolution (so I abandoned the endeavor). Is there some way I can get the tuner to go to channel 73 and stay there? Everytime I go to myth setup, I select channel 73 in section 4. Then when I start the frontend, the tuner is on channel 4. I need the tuner to be on channel 73 so I can receive the signal from my satellite receiver.
Is there something I can do manually in a terminal window that will permanently change the channel to 73? Please keep in mind, I am a linux noob.
Please help.

It will only stay there if
It will only stay there if you don't ever change the channel on the STB. If you change the channel then MythTV will follow it. The tuner number your referring to will only except chanels 3 or 4. That is to allow an external box to use the tuner input on your card.

Got it to work! Now my MythDora really works great. Thanks for all of your work on this!
I got this from the
mailing list.
...option in the capture-card setup to set an external channel
changer. Just set that to something like /bin/true or some other script
that really doesn't do anything and it won't change the channels. Set
the default channel to 93 then...
After I did this in Mythsetup I let Mythfrontend start up.
I then opened up a terminal, su to root then:
# ivtv-tune -c93 -d /dev/video0 --- to change my tuner to channel 93.
It is just the way I need and want it.
Now if I can figure out how to network it to my windows PC.
Great job!
